Go Ape at Moors Valley
IF you're looking for something different and
outdoorsy to do head for Go Ape.
This award-winning highwire forest adventure course at Moors Valley Country Park, near Ringwood is a great energy-fuelled day out for the family, where you can take to the trees and feel the adrenaline soar with every step.
You can climb up high and tackle the challenging treetop assault course which now features over 40 hanging crossings, scramble nets and zip slides.
As you work your way around, look out for the Infernal Traverse, the Stirrup Crossing, the Net Canyon and the Tarzan Swing - it's not for the faint-hearted!
The minimum age for the course is ten with no
maximum age restrictions, so there's no excuse for grandparents not to join in the fun. The only stipulations are that you have to be at least 1m 40cm tall (that's four foot seven inches) and anybody under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Your session starts with a practical safety lesson
lasting around 20 minutes before you're left to your own devices.
With the difficulty and height increasing throughout each zone, the course is constantly challenging, although with both advanced and beginner routes throughout, it's up to you how hard you push yourself.
But it's not all hard work. Once you have scrabbled your way to the top of each course, there's only one way down and that's via the zip slide!
The course is fairly pricey but well worth it.
Three hours of high octane adventure costs £20 for 10-17 years and £25 for over 18s.
