Youngsters dance their way onto the stage
AFTER only six rehearsals, hard work and lots of fun, dozens of children from Southampton took to the stage in what was for many of them their very first show.
The young dancers aged between five and 21 performed to an audience at Solent University to launch Southampton's newest street dance school, Street Beatz Dance Academy.
Street Beatz is the vision of Jessica Cripps, a final year student at Solent University, who plans to expand the dance school when she graduates this summer.
The show included a display of street and hip hop dancing with themes running from urban crew to masked soldiers, funky circus squad with beat boxing performances, and a spectacular finale.
Proceeds from the event were donated to Southampton General Hospital's children's ward.
