Joe takes first steps on stardom stairway
HE'S only 11 years old but pint-sized rocker Joe Grimshaw is already on the stairway to success.
Armed with an electric guitar and a collection of songs from rock legends such as Thin Lizzy and Led Zeppelin, this self-taught youngster is the latest to join the Daily Echo's Hampshire Top Talent search.
Joe, pictured, started playing at the age of eight after teaching himself basic chords on his neighbour's acoustic guitar.
Now the Gregg School pupil is in the process of forming a rock band with school chums and plans to become a rock star when he's older.
Joe, of Mortimer's Lane, Fair Oak, said: "I really want to be a guitarist when I'm older.
I play rock music, a lot of old rock and a bit of new rock like White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age.
