Fusion - St Mary's Street, Southampton

SOUTHAMPTON'S newest restaurant offers you a totally new concept of eating in the city.

With free internet access for those who just can't bear to be away from their email and a large TV for sports fans Fusion Noodle Bar provides more than just good food.

Situated in St Mary's Street, the location is not the first place you'll think of when looking to dine out.

But the contemporary restaurant offers diners an extensive lunch, dinner and takeaway menu.

I recently visited the restaurant for lunch with a friend and was surprised to find just how busy it was having only been open a couple of weeks. When finding our way to our table we noticed how many customers seemed to be taking advantage of the Fusion meal deals, a lunch offer where you can choose any noodle or rice dish along with a soft drink for just £4.90 per person.

Despite being tempted by this great value deal we decided to opt for a selection of the side dishes to share.

We chose the aromatic crispy duck, peppercorn king prawns, smoked shredded chicken, sesame prawn on toast and crispy seaweed.

Our food was served within a matter of minutes and was beautifully presented dishes.

Each dish tasted as good as it looked but after much discussion we decided the shredded chicken was our favourite.

The contemporary restaurant offers diners a relaxed yet stylish setting throughout the day.

Open from lunchtime through until midnight, seven days a week, the restaurant serves everything from a quick snack and coffee or delicious dinner with a glass of wine.

And for those looking for an early bite to eat should head to Fusion between 5pm-7pm Monday to Saturdays when you'll receive a free side dish when you purchase a main course.

So, if you're looking for somewhere different to dine, head to Fusion Noodle bar.
