Show the world what you can do!
Talented youngsters are being given the chance to show the world what they can do.
The Daily Echo are looking for male and female dancers and singers aged seven to 18 years.
We want them to take part in a song and dance spectacular called 'Headlines' to celebrate the Echo's 120th birthday as well as showcasing Hampshire talent.
The show will take place on later this year and will be a magical journey, spanning 120 years of song and dance styles.
From the roaring 20's to the swing and jitterbug of the 40's,the rock and rolling 50's, the swinging 60's, 70's disco, 80's robotics, 90's pop and into the new millennium with Hip-Hop and more.
This weekend is the chance for singers and dancers to showcase their talent at the auditions. They will take place on Sunday March 9 at The Hilton Hotel, Chilworth, Southampton.
Registration will commence at 11am, but make sure you arrive on time as auditions will be starting promptly.
If you've always wanted to perform but have never had the nerve to try, then come along to the audition no matter what your ability. Whether you are a novice, have regular dance lessons, or have taken part in a dance project at school, studying performing arts at college or known as a dance floor diva, then we want to see you.
We will be incorporating lots of different styles of dance into the show, including tap, disco, Irish, jazz, street, hip-hop, rock and roll, contemporary and ballet and many more.
Don't be shy, everyone will audition in groups, but if you can freestyle we'd like to see that too. Remember we want you to enjoy the day and have fun.
Please wear something comfortable that you can move in, bring your dance shoes if you have them, if not trainers will do- If you can tap please bring your tap shoes with you.
If you are auditioning as a singer please prepare a verse and a chorus, either by yourself or in a small group.
We are also looking for make up artists, hair technicians, costume designers and any students interested in any aspect of theatre/performing arts.
The show is in association with 2Groove, Dance & Fitness.
For more information about the audition, contact Kimberley at groove.dance@hotmail.com or phone 07929 289030.
