Halo 3
TITLE: Halo 3
Platform: Xbox 360
Genre: First Person Shooter
Publisher: Microsoft
classification: 15 (BBFC)
After Halo 2 being as popular as it was amongst Xbox owners and being the most successful on-line console game of all time, Halo 3 was always going to be one of the biggest games to reach the Xbox 360. The launch of Halo 3 was massive, with stores all over the country opening its doors at midnight to sell copies to eager gamers. Only once has a game ever shifted as many copies in the first 24 hours of sales in the UK, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Halo 3 starts off where Halo 2 finished. Master Chief is back on earth and ready to finish the fight. You can either battle your way through the campaign mode or go on-line in one of the many different multiplayer modes. If you're doing the campaign mode, you don't need to do it alone because you can have up to 3 other players join you in a co-operative game, either on your console or over Xbox Live.
The Halo series has always been about its on-line play, and this game delivers that very nicely. There are 11 maps to play on and many different game types, including slyer, team slayer and many more.
Although this game is not going to win any awards for its graphics alone, the gameplay is rock solid and Halo 3 will undoubtedly draw in many new fans to the already massively popular series.
