Guitar Hero III (Xbox 360)
Game Name: Guitar Hero III
Platform: Xbox 360
Publisher: Activision
Rating: 12+ (BBFC)
Genre: Rhythm
For those of you that have got a little board with Guitar Hero II, do not fret - Guitar Hero III has now arrived and it certainly does not fail to strike the right chords.
If you have been living under a rock (no pun intended) over the past couple of years, then you may not have heard of Guitar Hero and how it has become the greatest console rhythm game of all time. This is largely because of the fact that you can choose to input the button combination using a specially made guitar controller. You can either purchase just the game for around £40 or get the game bundled with the incredibly stylish, wireless Les Paul guitar controller which will cost to around the tune of £75.
Guitar Hero III is bigger and better than any other Guitar Hero to have come before. No longer are the songs covers but are originals from the artists they were made famous by and The Sex Pistols actually re-recorded Anarchy in the UK because the master recordings had "gone missing".
A new feature with Guitar Hero III are the boss battles where you are required to have a guitar battle against real guitar heroes like Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine or Slash from Velvet Revolver.
