Football Manager 2008 (360)
Game Name: Football Manager 2008
Platform: Xbox 360
Publisher: SEGA
Rating: 3+ (PEGI)
Genre: Sports
Football Manager 2008 is the latest offering from the seasoned Football Management Sim developer, Sports Interactive Ltd. The developer boasts a newly updated game engine, which allows for more realistic game play.
Players can select their favourite club or international team and guide them to success through Cup matches, Leagues, European Championships and major international tournaments, with over 5,000 playable teams from over 50 countries. There are also Online features including one-on-one challenges and the ability to host tournaments.
This newly updated edition contains all the transfers up to and including the end of the Jan window. Compared to its processors, I can honestly say that this game has not progressed at all. In fact, it would hardly look out of place on the Amiga 500. Its complicated to control and too in-depth in the wrong places. If you are a veteran of football manager sims, I can only suggest to stick to your PC.
After a torrid season at St Mary's, the last thing I want as a hardened Saints fan would be to spend precious hours on FM08 trying to get to the Champions League final - It wont make me feel any better - For that there is always UEFA Euro 2008 (18th April)
