Curtain Call
Play it again Sam
MEMBERS of Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society will be performing Woody Allen's Play It Again, Sam, for their spring production.
Recently divorced film critic Allen Felix (Vic Milne) is an incompetent, neurotic hypochondriac.
Play It Again, Sam chronicles his hilarious and bungling attempts to find a new love in his life. Assisted by his best friends Dick (Richard Sansom) and Linda (Debbie Murray), his efforts prove fruitless, until his alter-ego, Humphrey Bogart (David Balfour), steps in to show him that true love may be nearer to home than he'd ever imagined.
Inspired by the love triangle in Casablanca this romantic comedy, directed by Brian Buck, is a must for Bogart buffs and Woody Allen fans alike.
It plays at the Vernon Theatre, Lyndhurst from Thursday April 24 until Saturday April 26.
Tickets: £6 for opening night and £7 on Friday and Saturday are available from 023 8028 2729
4:40pm Friday 18th April 2008
